A good page should be the extension of the message that caused the click of the visitor and should guide him with relevant information and graphics to the accomplishment of the desired action (registration, contact request, purchase, download, etc.). The design, graphics and text, the technical layoutall, all the details are important to increase the number of conversions.

AIDA, one of the first commercial marketing techniques (still) applies perfectly for these pages:

A – attention (awareness): attract the attention of the customer.
I – interest: raise customer interest by focusing on and demonstrating advantages and benefits (instead of focusing on features, as in traditional advertising).
D – desire: convince customers that they want and desire the product or service and that it will satisfy their needs.
A – action: lead customers towards taking action and/or purchasing.

To optimize a landing page, each element that composes it can be tested (A/B or multivariate testing). Discovering what title, what image, what button, what promotional offer are most effective can increase the conversion rate.
